Friday 6 December

M1. Beziers v Montauban

Beziers go into this as the team to beat. They're mid table and have some good results of late. Montauban are below them and dont perform too well away from home.

M2. Nevers v Colomiers

Colomiers are 4th and punching above their weight against some good teams in this league. They should be hard to beat against Nevers who are on a rough run of form.

M3. Vannes v Angouleme

There is nothing between these teams. There is a place difference between them on the log and form is pretty close. Vannes perform at home while Angouleme are no easy beats. Play wide.

M4. Edinburgh v Wasps

Wasps have been up and down as usual so they are hard to predict. Edinburgh are excellent at home and to boost their confidence, they beat a strong Munster side in Ireland last weekend. Edinburgh are the team to beat.

M5. Bath v Clermont

As sturdy as Bath are at home, Clermont should have too many answers and they could run away with this. Clermont have looked the real deal this season.

Saturday 7 December

M1. Northampton v Leinster

Northampton have been in very good form. They easily beat Leicester last weekend but now they take on a far stronger side. Leinster would ordinarily be fancied but Northampton will go in believing they can win.

M2. Toulon v London Irish

Toulon look like turning the tide. Domestically they've come into form and they face Irish who have been refreshing to watch but battled against big teams.

M3. Worcester v Dragons

Worcester will be tough to beat at home. Despite not being among the best in England, they are in good form against a side who are battling.

M4. Munster v Saracens

What a match. Munster will be better than their loss last weekend. They will be hungry to sort themselves out against one of the best teams in the competition but who have serious issues off the field. Play wide and enjoy the match.

M5. Cardiff v Pau

Cardiff have quietly picked up some form while Pau have been great to follow. Two contrasting styles link up. Weather could be a factor. Wet conditions will suit Cardiff. Dry conditions will give Pau a big chance.

Sunday 8 December

M1. Gloucester v Connacht

Gloucester will be tough to beat. As determined and tough to break down as Connacht are, Gloucester have plenty bases covered. Connacht would love wet weather. But Gloucester should still win.

M2. Cornish Pirates v Yorkshire

Yorkshire are terrible. They haven't made a point yet. Pirates are among the leaders. They're at home. Fill your boots.

M3. Nottingham v London Scottish

This is a far harder match to call with not much between them. Nottingham might have a slight edge at home but expect it to be close.

M4. Sale v Exeter

As enterprising and refreshing Sale are, Exeter look like they can win everything this season. They continue to impress mixing conservative rugby with ambition when they have to. There should be a few points scored but Exeter should prove themselves again.

M5. Toulouse v Montpellier

Toulouse have finally come well. Montpellier have been up and down. Montpellier are capable and due an upward turn but Toulouse would want to confirm their form this season.
